New beginnings

There is something interesting in Genisis 25 verse 9, we see the death of Abraham, it says both his sons Isaac and Ishmael buried him. Because of sin this family was fractured and fragmented. We see often that during a time of tragedy families come back together during the funeral. Unfortunately, after the service the separation becomes deeper, and the bonds that existed pass along with the one who passed away. We see this between the descendants of these two brothers, the Jews and the Arabs. It seems they grow farther apart every year...

With family its seems harder for us to forgive and forget. As believers we are to forgive as we have been forgiven and work towards peace. This can not be understated, we are to live peaceably. Romans 12:18 says “If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men”. Later in Titus 3 it says to be peaceable, gentle, showing all humility to all men. Don’t let time slip away on your relationships, be peaceable and remember the Grace that has been bestowed upon you. Reciprocate that Grace and live peaceable with all men. Restore those relationships before its too late, you never know how the Lord will use it.
